Our Church

The church was mandated by God-through His Word. It is where the assembly of people, called by His name, gather to worship and proclaim the Gospel.

At Ranch View Baptist Church, we have been led by the Holy Spirit of God to receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and confess Him as Lord. On confession of faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, this church, most solemnly and joyfully purpose with one another, as one body in Christ, joined in the New Covenant of His blood, to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him.

By the aid of the Holy Spirit, the church forsakes the ways of sin to walk together in Christian love, and in the paths of righteousness. We rest our faith entirely in the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation, and believe in the teachings of the Holy Bible as being the inspired Word of God in every word and in every thought.

History

In the early 50's a man named Fred Zwall from Vista, recognized the need for The Gospel to be heard within the community of Olivenhain. He started a Sunday School in the Olivenhain Meeting Hall where several of the area's farming families attended. Some, within these families, attended revival meetings in a VFW Hall in Leucadia started by Pastor Robert Nichols. The church moved to other locations in Encinitas and Solana Beach. In the early 1960's, property was purchased in Olivehain and the RVBC church building we are in today was built.

When Pastor Robert Nichols retired, other faithful Pastors led the congregation until the 1980's when Pastor Bob Litts came from Lancaster, Ca and pastored RVBC until his retirement. After Pastor Bob Litts retired, other Pastors served the congregation.

In 2016, Pastor Roman Folia, along with his family, was led to RVBC to faithfully teach and shepherd this dedicated flock of believers.
