What To Expect
SUNDAY SERVICES:
9:00am Sunday School (Adult & Children's)
10:30am Worship Service
6:00pm Evening Service (When Scheduled)
Each of these gatherings aim to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and to remember the gracious love of God toward us in Christ and His gospel. Our desire is that through our corporate gatherings we might build one another up in God’s Word so that we might faithfully love Him and one another as Jesus taught us to do. If you’re planning to visit for the first time, we are glad you are coming!
Here’s what to expect from each service:
9:00 am Sunday School This is a time to set our focus on a specific topic, doctrine, or passage from God’s Word. Sunday School tends to take on more of a classroom feel where questions and interaction with the teacher are welcomed and encouraged. The class is usually 45 minutes to 1 hour long.
10:30 am Sunday Worship Service. During our main worship gathering, we begin with a “Call to Worship” from God’s Word and prayer. We then respond together in praise by singing hymns that teach us solid truth about God, His Son Jesus Christ, His plan of salvation, and what these things mean for us. Our music is intended to be reverent, corporate, and faithful to the gospel which has been handed down to us through all generations. We cherish long-standing and modern day hymns. We will also spend time reading God’s Word publicly, responding in prayer while expressing our adoration for God and presenting our requests to him.
6:00 pm Sunday Evening Service. (When Scheduled) Sunday evenings we gather together for prayer, praise, and a brief devotion from God’s Word. On the fourth Sunday of each month the evening gathering (Home Fellowship Group) will be at the home of one of our church members where we also have dinner together starting at 5:00.
Sunday evenings are more informal and an opportunity to spend time together as a church family. We sing God-centered, Christ-exalting songs, fellowship, pray together, learn from God’s Word and how it applies to our lives.
Because God’s Word is the most important thing we can read and hear, it is taught in our service by means of exposition of scripture. When scripture is exposited, it takes the point of the passage and makes it the point of the sermon. If someone needs a Bible, please see an usher and they will be more than happy to provide one.
On the first Sunday of each month we have a Communion Service and on the second Sunday of each month we have a Fellowship lunch together after the service. We encourage all to stay that we may get to know each other and answer any questions anyone might have about our church or God’s Word.
CHILD CARE:
We provide childcare for the 10:30 Worship Service and have a Mother's Room off the Sanctuary.
QUESTIONS?:
We'd welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you might have about The Gospel or our church.
Please see Pastor Roman Folia, Stan Cole, Dean Farris, or Kevin Cunha after our Worship Service.
